The night I was turned

‘It was a cold and dark night, I don’t know why I was walking through the woods at all.
William and I had been vacationing in Savannah Ga. William’s summer home was on a long secluded stretch of woodland, surrounds by a small body of water. The mountains peeked through on either side, a beautiful and quiet place to just, be.

I often walked through the woods just to see how far up the mountain side I could go before dark. I liked to walk along, that way I could think without distraction.

William thought nothing of my long walks and he encouraged me in them, after all, he was a warlock and he could see me no matter where I was.
However he didn’t see Edward Cullen or his brothers hunting on his mountain that night, but I did.
His beauty drew me in closer to him. He was as beautiful as William. There is something about the immortal, that simply intrigues humans, to no satisfying end.

Little did we know that because of my gifts …to him, I had the same overwhelming scent as Bella. But I was a stranger in the woods at the wrong time, easy prey.
I sensed his hunger over ruling him the moment our eyes met. He struggled within himself to reason the need to flee, but to no avail, his hunger over powered his will.

He had not found any mountain lions yet, and by the time we met his thirst for blood had gotten the better of him. Before I could speak, he leaped gracefully towards me, securing my neck between his teeth, and began sucking the blood from my body. I felt my knees buckle beneath me, yet I was still stand. Like a father holding his new born child, he held me softly, yet securely in his arms as he frantically withdrew my precious blood.

It felt like someone was sticking a knife in my neck, and sucking me out with a vacuum cleaner. It took all of two minutes ,but the pain was an eternity.

I was about to pass out and he suddenly came to himself, realizing what he had done, he quickly released my neck from the grip of his teeth. Just in time for me to live, yet too late to be human any longer. His apology was endless, yet futile….

My biggest concern was William, how would he view me now that I was immortal. Would this change be a good thing or not. Before I could ponder the thought William was by my side.

“Edward, what have you done?” William hissed as he grabbed me away from Edward Cullen and held me in his arms.

You know each other, I thought as my dazed state eased me into a semi sleep .

“William, man, I am so so very sorry, please forgive me. It all happened so fast. I was hunting… she was there… her smell… she is… was, so different from other humans. I mistook her scent, and before I could control myself…” Edward was perplexed and speechless.

“Jeez what the heck is going on here?” Emmett said as he and Jasper got closer.

“Edward just turned my wife into a Blood sucker!” William was furious.

“I- I had no idea, God… William, I am sorry!” Edward was almost in tears as he spoke.

“Well there is nothing you can do about it now. But William, this should be a good thing for you man, now she can be with you forever.” Jasper calmed Williams anger, as he gave him positive hope.

William held me in his arms as he turned and walked back down the mountain slowly as if I was dead. I could barely keep my eyes open even though I wanted to see and hear everything thing that was going on. The Cullens made their final goodbyes and headed over the mountain going east, headed back home. William and Edward had been friends for a long time but Edward knew it would take some time for William to get over this.

Funny thing is we had already considered asking Carlisle Cullen to turn me at some point so that William and I could be together for ever. We knew that was the plan of my future and I was ready. But of course it was going to be our timing, our choice.

Now here I was turned. Before my timing. A newborn vampire, and William had to train me.
